The intermediate students joined 150 other girls from across Eastern Ontario at the annual Skills Ontario event. "I just love it all," Aoife Pixley, St. Patrick student, said. "I love being hands on with everything."
The event offers young women an opportunity to explore careers in skilled trades and technologies through hands-on learning and discussion with industry leaders.
The event got students thinking about career paths and their future. “This is something I like doing, its messy and cool. I think I might want to do this when I grow up”, said Ayvah Morton, St. Patrick student.
